On June 29, 2023, the conservative-led Supreme Court struck down race-based affirmative action in higher education. While the ruling was limited to higher education, litigants have used the ruling to attack DEI initiatives in the private sector. We have done a previous episode on the Fearless Fund lawsuit and a settlement was reached in September. Today we are joined by Venture Capitalist Shila Nieves Burney to discuss what this means for Black women’s economic justice and the pathway forward for Venture capitalists of color.
